Download Information:

♥ When I click on “Download” a window pops up, what do I do now?

-Depending on if I have any bandwidth left, you either wait for the “Open, Save As” Winzip or Rar thing to pop up, Or the yellow information bar shall appear at the top on the window, click on it and then “Allow temporary pop-ups” or smth like that. Then the Winzip or Rar shall pop up. Or the file will just pop up on its own then you click on open.

How do I get the files into my game?

-When you click on the download, and you have gone through the above instructions, you click on “Open” and then depending on your exporter thing, you have to place all the files in “My Documents / EA Games / The Sims 2 / Downloads”. More detailed step-by-step instructions on how to install new content into the game can be found in the following mts2 wiki articles:

What the hell is a "MESH"?

-Mesh is a .package file that contains information about the shape of hair, outfit etc. That is why texture files(recolors) will not work without them. Meshes are often non-redistributable, so you have to download them from mesh creators' sites. The url where you need to download the mesh from is always in the descriptions, so make sure you read them carefully. You just install them like any other package, by placing it in the downloads folder.

Can I use your creations/MESHs in my files on other sites?

-Yes you can but MAKE SURE YOU DON’T UPLOAD IT AS YOUR OWN! Also please make sure you have a link back to the site and also tell me about your creation through MTS2.com, TSR.com, Youtube.com, and Sims99.com or just through the contact page.

Can I use parts of your textures in my creations?

-No, you may not. Even if your just “Copying” over a jean or something to a Full-Outfit with a top then no, only if it is going to be used for personal use, I.E. For you ONLY in your game and NOT ON THE EXCHANGE!

The Download isn’t appearing in my game. What gives?

-   Make sure that you download the MESH if it requires one. If not then make sure that you have all the Eps it requires. (Seasons, Nightlife…). Or just re-download it and make sure you have placed it in the downloads folder. (It is a common mistake)
